SHT is a non-profit mutual aid initiative connecting students seeking temporary emergency accommodation with volunteer hosts. SHT does not act as a commercial real estate agent or landlord.
SHT is not liable for any damages, personal injury, financial disputes, or property loss arising out of agreements made between hosts and guests.
Hosting arrangements facilitated by SHT are temporary (up to a maximum of 3 months). No formal rent may be charged through SHT, though hosts may request modest compensation for direct utility/grocery costs agreed upon in advance.
